POLICE IDENTIFY BODY FOUND NEAR TAREE

The body of a man discovered in bushland north of Taree has been identified as that of 41-year-old Tyron Beauchamp.

Mr Beauchamp’s body was discovered by an RFS crew on Yarratt Road at Upper Landsdowne, just after 6 o’clock on the morning of December 27.

A post mortem revealed the man had been seriously assaulted, before his body was taken to the forest and set on fire.

Police are now hoping to piece together the 41-year-old’s final movements, including who he’d been associating with in the weeks leading up to his death.

They’re also keen to speak with anyone with dashcam vision from the area, taken between Christmas Day and December 27.

Anyone with information is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
