BUSHFIRE BURNING NEAR TEA GARDENS
Waterbombing aircraft have been called in to assist firefighters, who are working to contain a bushfire at Tea Gardens at Port Stephens.
A Large Air Tanker has been deployed to assist firefighters at Viney Creek Road East, Tea Gardens fire. Fire is currently burning in south westerly direction, north of Monkey Jacket. If in area, monitor conditions and take advice from firefighters. #nswfires #nswrfs pic.twitter.com/A0kGUN3uAD

The blaze is burning near Viney Creek Road, and has already torn through more than 40 hectares of bushland.
No homes are currently under threat, however, the fire is moving in a southerly direction under gusty winds.
It remains at Advice level.
Those in the area should continue to follow the instructions of fire crews on the ground.
