WOMAN INJURED IN ROLLOVER AT WALLABADAH

A 19-year-old woman has been flown to hospital in a serious condition, after her car rolled in the state’s north west.

The crash happened at Wallabadah, around 60 kilometres south of Tamworth, at around 10 o’clock on Monday morning, with the woman thrown from the vehicle.

She was treated by paramedics and the Westpac Rescue Helicopter’s clinical team, before she was airlifted to Newcastle’s John Hunter Hospital.

It’s understood she suffered head and chest injuries in the crash.

Meanwhile,  a two-truck crash blocked the New England Highway in both directions further up the road.

Police were called to the scene outside Tamworth, where they found a truck had rolled around 5am

Diversions were in place for several hours, before the highway reopened in one direction later in the morning.
