WOMAN INJURED IN NORTH COAST HORSE FALL

A 40-year-old woman has been flown to hospital, after she fell from a horse on the state’s far north coast.

Emergency services including the Westpac Rescue Helicopter were called to Cabarita Beach on Saturday morning.

Initial reports suggest the woman suffered neck and chest injuries in the fall.

She was taken to the nearby Les Burger Field, before being airlifted to Gold Coast University Hospital.
