The Australian University Sevens Series continues to provide leverage for the sport’s next generation of female rugby union players.
University of New England Lion’s players Maya Stewart and Grace Hamilton have recently been named New South Wales Super W training squad.
For Stewart, her selection caps off an incredible season – she’s just returned from representing the Australian youth girls team, at the World Schools Sevens.
The Series has also brought top honours to Inverell’s Rhiannon Byers, having been selected in the Australian Pearls team this season.
