While some try their luck at the Boxing Day sales, for others, the action will be at the races.
The Inverell and Quirindi Jockey Clubs are both holding Boxing Day meetings, each featuring five-race programs.
For many race-goers, heading to the track the day after Christmas has become a long-standing tradition – punters taking the opportunity doe that once a year catch-up.
Each club has its first race just after 2pm.
