WATER RESTRICTIONS TIGHTEN FOR TAMWORTH REGION
Bendemeer residents will be faced with level-one water restrictions from Monday and officials say Tamworth, Moonbi and Kootingal aren’t far behind.
The trigger point for restrictions is 40-percent at Chaffey Dam, and currently the water level is just under 42-percent.
Council estimates that gives locals another three to four weeks.”People are able to use fixed sprinklers but it’s limited to two hours per day and during daylight savings that’s between 6pm and 8pm at night,” Bruce Logan, Director or Water and Waste, Tamworth Regional Council.
