WOMAN SERIOUSLY INJURED BY FALLING TREE BRANCH AT HALLIDAYS POINT

A woman was last night rushed to hospital on the Mid North Coast, after a tree struck the car she was in at Hallidays Point.

The 49-year-old was a passenger in a Nissan SUV when a large branch fell through the car’s windscreen on Blackhead Road at around 6:30.

She was taken to Port Macquarie Base Hospital suffering serious internal injuries and remains in intensive care.

The driver of the car was uninjured.
