CALLINAN TO FACE ACE BUCHAN IN ROUND TWO

After winning the wildcard trials on Thursday, Ryan Callinan was unable to win his opening heat this morning.

It was far from classic Pipeline, but Callinan still made a strong start, and held the lead for most of the heat.

Before American Griffin Colapinto snuck home.

Callinan will now face Adrian Buchan in the sudden-death second round.
