URALLA COUNCILLOR FACES COURT

Uralla councillor Natasha Ledger has faced Armidale Local Court over a common assault charge.

She was also the defendant for an apprehended domestic violence order.

The matter will be heard early in February.

If found guilty, Ms Ledger would not be allowed to remain on the council, under the Local Government Act – possibly triggering another Uralla Shire Council by-election.
