MOTORCYCLIST KILLED NEAR SCONE

A 66-year-old man has died after the motorbike he was riding collided with a truck in the Hunter Valley.

Emergency services were called to the New England Highway at Parkville north of Scone at around 10 o’clock on Saturday morning, following reports of a crash.

The road is currently closed between Banool Lane and Cressfield Road, with diversions in place for light vehicles.

Traffic in the area remains heavy – delays are expected to continue for several hours.
