SMALL REPRIEVE FOR CENTRAL COAST RESCUE SQUAD

There’s been a small reprieve for the Central Coast Rescue Squad, as negotiations continue over its need for new headquarters.

Volunteers say they’ve received notice from Wyong Race Club’s lawyers the squad can stay in its building until the end of February.

They were previously told to vacate by November 30, making way for a $6 million race course redevelopment.

Central Coast Rescue Squad says the extra time will limit disruptions to its life-saving operations over the busy Christmas period.
