GAV’S WEATHER: GOOD RAIN FOR NORTHERN NSW

It’s an amazing satellite with the huge cloud band being the dominate feature.

The dust storm could be seen on the satellite image today flaring up in between the rain band and the cold front sweeping across South Australia.

This approaching system is massive and has a lot of structure about it, extending north to Queensland and the Northern Territory.

Cold air is the next feature sweeping in across the south east with snow to fall on the Alpine regions.

The rain will continue tonight for most of the region, contracting to the north east tomorrow morning.

Elsewhere a fine, warm mostly sunny day is on the way with winds increasing for a windy colder end to the week.
