NEW SOUTH WALES IN BOX SEAT IN SHIELD CLASH

Newcastle’s Jason Sangha, has helped New South Wales into a commanding position on day three of the Sheffield Shield clash with Queensland.

Blues openers Nick Larkin and Daniel Hughes both scored centuries, before Sangha made it to the crease.

Needing quick runs before a declaration, Sangha did away with his usually steady approach, scoring 32 runs off 21 balls.

Queensland finished the day a 2 for 51, needing 328 for victory tomorrow.
