FLUORIDE APPROVED BY NSW HEALTH FOR GUNNEDAH’S WATER SUPPLY

Smiles around Gunnedah could soon be brighter, as fluoride is approved for the town’s water supply.

New South Wales Health has given the proposal the thumbs up, meaning the town is in the last stages of making the change.

Fluoride is already in more than 90-percent of the state’s water supply, but community debate has raged over the issue for years.

It’s hoped the plan will be implemented by 2020.
