WOMAN WHO ALLEGEDLY STABBED HOSPITAL STAFFER WITH A SYRINGE DENIED BAIL

A Lismore woman who allegedly screamed out “I have HIV and I’m going to kill you all” before stabbing a Lismore Base Hospital staffer with a syringe will remain in custody.

Amber Daldy-Rowe allegedly entered the Lismore Base Hospital emergency department at around noon on Saturday seeking treatment before she began to threaten staff members, producing a syringe and lunging at a wardsman.

He was treated for a 33cm laceration to his left arm, and will undergo six months of tests and monitoring before his condition is known.

The 39-year-old was denied bail in Lismore Local Court today, as she remains a threat to public safety.

The matter will return to Lismore Local Court in the new year.
