After a week in the spotlight over former business partnership issues, Michael Johnsen has been endorsed by the National Party to contest the seat of Upper Hunter at the March state election.
Mr Johnsen has settled a debt with relatives of his deceased business partner, allowing him to run in this morning’s pre-selection.
The current Upper Hunter MP claimed pre-selection with a “comprehensive win” over James Burns.
