SEARCH UNDERWAY AFTER BOAT CAPSIZES

At least one person has drowned after a boat capsized in the ocean north of Coffs Harbour this morning.

A spokesman from the New South Wales Ambulance Service says a witness from the Nautilus resort phoned triple 0, after seeing the boat capsize off Sapphire Beach.

A helicopter has arrived and is searching the water.

It’s unclear how many people were on board the vessel.
