FIREFIGHTERS BATTLE TWO BLAZES IN THE NORTH WEST

As temperatures soared in the North West, it was a busy day for firefighters.

A remote grass fire near Bingara was burning at a Watch and Act level this afternoon, as it moved towards Upper Bingara Village.

It has now been downgraded to Advice level.

Meanwhile, a blaze consumed piles of cotton waste at a factory in Carroll this afternoon.

Firefighters contained the flames, and thankfully, no one was injured.
