APPEAL FOR INFORMATION AFTER MAN FOUND INJURED ON NORTH COAST STREET

Police are continuing to appeal for information after a man was found seriously injured on the side of a Goonellabah street.

Ambulance crews were called to Shearman Drive just after 5:30 yesterday morning, where they found a 49-year-old man bleeding from the head.

He was taken to Lismore Base Hospital, before being flown to Gold Coast Hospital.

How the man came to be injured on the side of the road is not known.

Anyone with information is urged to contact local police.
