MOTORBIKE RIDER CRITICAL AFTER HITTING KANGAROO

A motorbike rider is in a critical condition after colliding with a kangaroo near Grafton.

The region’s Westpac Rescue Helicopter was tasked to the scene around 5 kilometres south west of the town on Sunday morning.

It’s understood the 61-year-old man suffered head and chest injuries.

He was flown to Gold Coast University Hospital.
