TRUCK SALVAGED AFTER NORTHERN RIVERS CRASH

Salvage crews have managed to remove a truck which yesterday crashed off a bridge in the state’s northern rivers.

The truck was travelling along Teven Road at Teven at around 11:30, when it left the road, and came to rest in Emigrant Creek.

Local emergency services, including a HAZMAT team equipped with a boat, worked to clean up the scene and contain around 150 litres of diesel in the truck’s fuel tanks.

The driver, a 46-year-old man, escaped serious injury.
