BUSY NIGHT FOR EMERGENCY SERVICES

It was a busy night for the Westpac Life Saver Rescue Helicopter, called out to two serious motor accidents.

The first of which, a high speed single vehicle crash at Macksville, saw the helicopter transport a 33-year-old man to Gold Coast University Hospital.

He was reported to be in a stable condition.

Meanwhile, the chopper was also tasked to a high speed crash at Palmers Island near Yamba.

A 24-year-old man was flown to Brisbane for treatment.

His condition remains unknown.
