A motorcycle rider in his 50s has been taken to John Hunter Hospital with serious head injuries, after a two-vehicle accident at Mayfield.
Around 9.30am, emergency crews were called to the intersection of Church Street and Maitland Road, following reports a motorcycle and a car had collided.
The male driver of the vehicle was uninjured and is assisting police.
Anyone with dashcam vision is urged to come forward.
