EAST LISMORE PLAYGROUND DESTROYED BY VANDALS

East Lismore families have been left devastated after a popular playground was set on fire overnight.

The damage at Wade Park was so extensive that it’s since been closed.

Almost $80,000 worth of equipment was lost in the deliberately lit blaze.

Lismore City Council is investigating, but at this stage, it appears the entire playground will need to be replaced.

Items have been seized for forensic analysis and witnesses are urged to contact Crime Stoppers.
