Few Central Coast athletes would disagree that the Mingara athletics track needs replacing.
State MP Adam Crouch and Central Coast Councillor Jilly Pilon have launched a petition, hoping to convince the Berejiklian Government to fund the repairs.
“Everybody is wanting a new regional facility here, so it means so much to the community. We’ve got over 30,000 school students who use it every year for sports carnivals, you’ve got sporting groups such as little athletics and also community groups.’
Track users, local residents and businesses are encouraged to sign.
“It really just bolsters the community’s clarity around delivering an outcome to the Central Coast, so when we go to the Deputy Premier and say we need funding for this we know the community is right behind us all the way.”
