Police say they were pelted with empty bottles when they tried to break up an illegal rave party at Arrawara over the weekend.
Officers went to a property along Farm Trail Road early Saturday morning but were unable to shut the party down.
They say some of the 300-strong crowd threw bottles and other missiles at police.
“Police will not be the punching bags of those who go to these alleged rave parties under the auspices of peace and love and then show extremely violent tendencies,” said Inspector Darren Jameson.
Police are seeking information on who organised the party.
