HANDBRAKE FAIL = CAR UNDERWATER
A slip-up at the boat ramp has ended with a Landcruiser on the bottom of the Corindi River, north of Coffs Harbour.
It’s believed the cause of the mishap was driver error – forgetting to pull on the handbrake after returning from a fishing trip around three this morning.
The driver managed to retrieve his boat before his four-wheel-drive slipped into the drink with its keys still in the ignition.
To make matters worse, the trailer is jack-knifed.
