FEMALE ATHLETES WIN THE HASTINGS SPORTS AWARDS

It was a celebration of female athletes this morning, at the 2018 Hastings Sport Awards.

Three school girls took home the top gongs, with 18-year-old Ella Heeney named sportsperson of the year.

Annika Tooley won a sporting scholarship for her dominance on the hockey field.

And Madelaine Goodridge’s swimming and athletics saw her win the Port Macquarie disability sportsperson of the year.
