There was a parade down Kurri Kurri’s main street today, as the local public school commemorated the town’s contribution to the First World War.
The students have been studying the service and sacrifice of their forebears, focusing on the human cost on the battlefield, and the home front.
The event marked the approaching centenary of the armistice.
