Coffs Harbour’s Mental Health Unit at the city’s health campus is set for an upgrade, with the state government providing almost $800,000 for new furnishings and exercise equipment.
The money comes on top of the $194-million already committed for a major upgrade of the hospital announced earlier this year.
Work on that project, which will include new operating theatres and a rooftop helipad, is expected to begin within the next few months.
