BODY DISCOVERED IN UTE WEST OF COFFS HARBOUR

An investigation is underway after the body of a man was found in the back of a ute west of Coffs Harbour.

Emergency services were flagged down by a woman driving a ute on Armidale Road at Dundurrabin at around 2:30 yesterday afternoon, when they discovered the 40-year-old’s body.

He’d suffered a gunshot wound to his torso.

The 37-year-old woman was arrested, before being released pending further inquiries.

Officers are now forensically examining a home on Armidale Road.
