Former Narrabri Shire Council Mayor Conrad Bolton has been awarded more than $100-thousand in damages in the state’s Supreme Court, after a judge ruled he had been defamed.
Over the course of 2015 and 2016, former town clerk Stephen Stoltenberg made disparaging comments about Mr Bolton on his self-operated Facebook page ‘Narri Leaks.’
Current councillor Ann Loder was also found to be a publisher of the Facebook page at times.
Mr Stoltenberg was ordered to pay $100,000, while Ms Loder will pay $10,000.
