It’s been just over two months since the entire state was declared to be in drought.
The Department of Primary Industries has recorded a 2-percent drop in drought conditions across the state thanks to recent rainfall.
But according to its seasonal update for September, more heavy rain is needed before farmers will be able to see the benefits.
