Newcastle trainer Kris Lees almost had a fourth runner in the world’s richest turf race, when Home of the Brave was scratched this afternoon.
But Lees’ horse Clearly Innocent was eventually overlooked in place of Osbourne Bulls.
His three hopes all had their final gallops in Newcastle this morning.
In Her Time is shaping up as his strongest chance of claiming the $13-million race.
