LEGAL ACTION AGAINST FORMER OWNERS OF DOYALSON METRO PETROL STATION

The Fair Work Ombudsman has taken legal action against the former owners of a petrol station at Doyalson.

Kamaldeep Singh and his wife allegedly underpaid two migrant workers more than $50,000 when they owned the business from May 2015 to August 2016

The Fair Work Ombudsman alleges a female and male employee of the Metro Petroleum station were denied penalty rates, leave entitlements and required to cover the loss from petrol thieves.

The pair now face the Federal Circuit Court in December.
