A neighbour has captured dramatic footage of a burning house at Gateshead.
Firefighters battled intense flames and heat, working for an hour to bring it under control.
The blaze began at around 2am at the abandoned property, where it’s believed a squatter had been living.
The house was destroyed, and today the area was cordoned off due to asbestos concerns.
The cause of the fire is being investigated.
