THE BLOODY LONG WALK: WALKERS RAISE AWARENESS FOR MITOCHONDRIAL DISEASE
Newcastle’s east end was filled with rain defying walkers on Sunday, raising funds for mitochondrial disease
Hundreds got their shoes wet on the 30 kilometre trek from Redhead to Pacific Park.
“This is our first time here in Newcastle, and with an uptake in its first year of over 850 registrants, it’s possibly one of the best starts we’ve had in the 32 Bloody Long Walks we’ve done to date around Australia.” – CEO, Mito Foundation
The walk will return next year.
