PAST PUBS REMEMBERED IN NEW BOOK – DRY LINES & EMPTY CELLARS

With Newcastle undergoing an extraordinary amount of change – it’s easy to forget our city’s past.

But through a new book, Hunter historian Ed Tonks is working to make sure that doesn’t happen – at least when it comes to the good old pub.

“Dry Lines and Empty Cellars” will be launched at the Commonwealth Hotel on the 16th of October.

Tyson Cottrill is a senior reporter and newsreader for Nine NBN News, based in Newcastle. As the Chief Court Reporter, Tyson has covered some of the biggest court cases from across the Hunter and northern New South Wales. Tyson started with the Nine Network in 2007 and has worked in newsrooms in Sydney, the Gold Coast, and Brisbane. A proud Novocastrian, Tyson has spent the majority of his journalism career reporting on the stories that matter in his hometown.
