CONSTRUCTION HAS STARTED ON TAREE POLICE STATION

The grey skies gave their blessing to the construction of the new Taree Police Station with rain starting to fall as the first sod was turned at the Albert Street site today.

The new station is expected to take 18 months to build.

Meanwhile, police officers are settling in to their temporary digs on Muldoon Street, in the old MidCoast Water building.
