CROSSMAGLEN RESIDENTS CELEBRATE NEW BRIDGE

Residents of Crossmaglen, near Coffs Harbour, turned out this morning to celebrate the construction of a new bridge in their valley.

The new two lane Bardens Bridge is of concrete construction and replaces an old wooden bridge.

The $450,000 project was jointly funded by the Coffs Harbour City Council and the federal government.

“t’s about connecting the residents and the business community who live in Crossmaglen into the city, be able to get to work, get to school and things like that.”

All 10 students from the Crossmaglen school were among those who took part in this morning’s event.
