DEBRIS OUTNUMBERED PEOPLE AT BALLINA’S LIGHTHOUSE BEACH

Beachgoers in the state’s north were shocked to find one of the most popular coastlines closed today with large, dangerous bits of debris floating in the water.

Ballina Shire Council spent most of the day removing nine tonnes of hazardous material, after a boat capsized overnight.
