The notorious Bangalow Road on the state’s Far North Coast has claimed yet another life after a man in his 50’s died earlier this afternoon.
Just after 2 o’clock, a man riding a motorcycle crossed onto the wrong side of the road while attempting to navigate a sharp bend near Clunes.
He then collided with a south-bound tip truck, and sedan, killing him instantly.
“Our crime scene people are here analysing the scene, the drivers of the two other vehicles, the gentleman in the truck and lady from the car were taken to Lismore Base Hospital for mandatory testing and a report will be prepared for the coroner.”
The crash comes at the end of a 2-day road blitz aimed at reducing road trauma.
