WORLD CUP SILVER FOR AUSTRALIAN WATERPOLO TEAM

The Australian waterpolo team has recorded its best-ever result at the World Cup, coming away with silver.

The Sharks, featuring Newcastle’s Richie Campbell and Nathan Power, started the gold medal play-off well… scoring the first goal of the match.

But they were overpowered by the Hungarian team – eventually going down 10-4.

The silver medals even more impressive, considering most team members juggle elite training with full time jobs or study.
