PORT MACQUARIE’S OLD FIRE STATION DEMOLISHED
It hasn’t been used for official duties for three years – now Port Macquarie’s old fire station has been demolished.
Last year the building was gutted by fire, and became a target for vandals and squatters – as a result the structural integrity was compromised.
Dual owners, Crown Lands and Fire and Rescue New South Wales since agreed to demolish the building.
The portion of land owned by Fire and Rescue will be sold via auction, with the rest to be returned to Crown Lands.
