COUNCILS STILL WAITING FOR $1-MILLION DROUGHT RELIEF GRANTS

Inverell Shire Council says it hasn’t heard anything further about a $1-million drought assistance grant since last month.

It’s awaiting guidelines – and a cheque from the federal government – before it can begin any drought relief projects.
