A Newcastle school is marking a milestone birthday with some creative flare, thanks to a former student.
A bright and colourful mural will take pride of place at Kotara High School, celebrating its 50th anniversary.
With local artist Mitch Resevsky helping piece together the artwork.
“Basically, we’ve got a year eight and a year nine class, and we came up with different ideas based on what Kotara High mean to them.” says Revs.
The final touches will be made tomorrow.
Meanwhile, Mitch is celebrating another achievement – as one of three Aussie artists to create a limited edition Vegemite jar.
