GAV’S WEATHER: WHAT TO EXPECT THIS WEEKEND

A shallow low has formed over the Greater Hunter region, with shower and storm activity continuing to develop overnight and into tomorrow.

While a trough in the state’s north is set to cause showers and potential storms.

Expect both systems to clear on Saturday evening, making for a fine Sunday across the region.

The remainder of the nation is mostly clear, with a massive trough extending right across northern Australia.
