W-LEAGUE JETS TO PLAY FOUR GAMES AT NO.2 SPORTSGROUND

The W-League draw has been released.

The Jets have the bye in round one, and start their season away to the Victory on October 1.

Newcastle will play two double headers at McDonald Jones Stadium and four games at Number Two Sportsground.

“It’ll be a good atmosphere with a smaller ground, like Canberra last year we played here there was a big crowd. yeah it’s good for the girls to have our own identity as well.”

She hasn’t signed yet, but Gema Simon is keen to be back in Jets colours, now injury free after surgery on a troublesome knee February.

“It’ll be nice to actually get a pre season under my belt, I’ve been overseas for the last 2 or 3 years and so yeah just really looking forward to it.”
