ATTEMPTED ARMED ROBBERY AND ASSAULT AT WYONG

Police are appealing for information, following an attempted armed robbery and assault in Wyong last night.

Around 10pm, a 37-year-old woman was approached from behind by three men on Hope Street, before being punched in the face and threatened with a firearm.

The trio left the area, and were last seen heading toward Alison Road.

An extensive search of the area was conducted, however no one was found.

All three men are described as being of Caucasian appearance, aged between 15 and 20-years-old, about 160cm tall with thin builds.

One was wearing a black-hooded jumper, black cap and shorts, a second man was also wearing a black hoodie, with brown shorts.

And a third man was wearing a brown and white jacket and long pants.

Police are seeking any witnesses or anyone with mobile phone or dashcam vision to come forward.
